Xydar G-930 is Solvay flame-retardant liquid crystal polymer (LCP), 30% glass fiber reinforced injection grade, developed for electrical/electronic applications using surface mount technology. It has excellent formability, excellent flowability, low warpage and excellent weld line strength. The resin has excellent molding properties. Even at mold temperatures below 200 °F (93 °C), the Xydar G-930 produces little or no spillage during the filling of extremely thin-walled parts over long distances. In addition, the molded product has low warpage and excellent weld line strength. Even at high temperatures, the material offers high strength and stiffness, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, high flexural temperatures, inherent flame retardancy and excellent resistance to most chemicals, as well as weather and radiation resistance.
